Snow on the Jurassic Coast is a rare and exciting sight, completely transforming familiar landscapes by accentuating the contours of the land. While photographing the iconic arch at Durdle Door was a thrill, it was the view behind me, of the chalk cliffs at Bats Head that truly caught my attention. The receding tide carved elegant curves into the snow, briefly revealing the shingle beneath. I quickly captured a few frames before the moment disappeared.
I feel incredibly grateful that this image went on to win the overall title in the prestigious Landscape Photographer of the Year competition in October 2015, marking the most memorable moment of my career.
