The harbour at Essaouira is a bustling fishing port on the Atlantic Coast of Morocco. The port area outside the medina is home to a great number of cats who feed from the scraps of fish left by the fishermen. This mural of the cat against the clear blue North African sky caught my eye and so I waited for a gull to fly into the right part of the frame to create this fun coastal image. Sadly this section of harbour wall has now been re-rendered and this cat is no longer. I look forward to a return visit one day to see if a new piece of artwork has taken it's place, but am glad I captured this when I had the opportunity.
