The autumn equinox is an eagerly anticipated milestone in the landscape photographers calendar. The shorter days and cooler nights are often key ingredients in the formation of morning mists. It's not every year that the equinox itself provides such a dramatic dawn, but I was certainly gad to have ventured out with the camera to one of my favourite locations close to home. The cool pre-dawn tones and shifting fog created a dramatic view of the ruins.
