Fine Art Printing for Artists & Photographers

I have always found immense satisfaction in seeing my work in print, and much of my passion for photography stems from the very early stages of my journey. I remember developing a roll of film in the school darkroom and then seeing the prints appearing in the tray of developer under the red light. The entire process captivated me, the smell of the chemicals, the process of loading film onto the spools in the dark, setting up the enlarger and seeing the final images come to life.

This hands-on experience of processing and printing fuelled my desire to shoot more rolls of film, and it played a pivotal role in my growth as a photographer. I’m especially grateful to my art teacher, who encouraged my enthusiasm and set me on a path that has kept me immersed in the photographic industry for most of my career.

In late 2024, I moved my studio to its current location in Corfe Castle, adjacent to the heritage railway station at Sandy Hill Arts Studios. This new studio, a solo venture, builds on the success of Fine Art Inkorporated, the printing business I co-founded in 2017 with a friend. Now operating under my own name, the space provides not only a dedicated studio but also an opportunity to engage with a vibrant community of artists. I’m excited to participate in joint exhibitions and collaborative projects throughout the year, and the shared spaces here also allow me to host my printing workshops.

While my workflow is now fully digital, I look back fondly on those early darkroom days, appreciating how they shaped my approach to photography and printing.

Fine Art Prints

At my studio, I stock a wide selection of Fine Art Trade Guild-approved papers from Fotospeed and Hahnemühle. Paired with genuine Canon pigment inks, these materials ensure your prints have a life span of over 85 years. I have a colour managed workflow and print with ICC profiles for each paper to guarantee accurate colour reproduction, providing you with the highest quality prints. My studio is also equipped with dry-mounting facilities, which allow me to bond prints to a substrate, keeping them perfectly flat.

Canvas Printing

Printing onto canvas is always popular and economical, providing a non-reflective finish that's perfect for bright rooms. I use a high-quality poly-cotton canvas from Fotospeed which is approved by The Fine Art Trade Guild. Once printed, I laminate it with a clear matte laminate using a hot vacuum press, sealing the canvas completely for maximum durability. I hand-stretch the canvas, carefully trimming any excess for a perfectly flat finish. The rear is completed with tape, felt bumpers, and brass hangers, ensuring a polished, professional presentation.

The Print Studio

My print studio at Sandy Hill Arts in Corfe Castle is tucked away next to the heritage railway station within a community of local artists. I have a selection of my own prints for sale on the walls and run my print services from the same studio. It's also where I run my post processing sessons and fine art printing workshops.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please complete the print order form or canvas order form providing as much detail as possible to avoid delays. If you are unsure about how to answer any of the questions and cannot see a solution in any of the blue help sections within the form or the FAQ, Please get in touch for assistance..

How do I pay for my order? +

I will send you an invoice via email, which can be paid via BACS, credit or debit card.

How much is delivery? +

Print orders £12.00 - Canvas prints £15.00. Due to rising shipping costs, I have introduced a £5.00 small order surcharge, applied to orders under £25.00. I use custom-made extra-thick wide diameter postal tubes to avoid damage in transit. You can collect your order in person for free by arrangement.

Due to the complexities introduced by changes to customs regulations post-Brexit, I no longer offer international shipping on behalf of third parties. Handling shipments as an intermediary has become increasingly challenging under the current guidelines.

In the unlikely event that your print arrives damaged, please contact me immediately with photos of the damage. I will work with you to resolve the issue and arrange a replacement if necessary.

What are your opening hours and can I visit your studio? +

You are very welcome to visit, but I don't have set days or hours, so it's best to get in touch in advance to arrange a mutually convenient time to visit. You can see paper or canvas samples, or discuss your requirements.

Do you offer framing services? +

While I do not offer framing services in-house, I can recommend trusted framing partners who can assist you with framing your prints.
