It's no secret that Corfe Castle is one of my favourite locations to photograph, and living such a short distance away, I've had the opportunity to capture it from numerous angles and witness some truly remarkable weather conditions. The first image in the gallery below was chosen by The National Trust for their official guide book of Corfe Castle. Although I can't promise a misty morning, this time of year often provides more than it's fair share.
During this one day workshop I will share my local knowledge with you and we will visit my favourite vantage points both near and far. Corfe Castle can be seen from as far away as Poole on a clear day and it's plain to see why it was built where it is. The surrounding valley and views across Poole Harbour and the Isle of Purbeck are also stunning in October as autumn begins to warm up the colour palette so there will be no shortage of photographic inspiration.
During the day, we'll dedicate time to discuss planning your shoots ahead of time, ensuring you're at the correct location and time. We'll also explore how understanding a weather forecast can improve your chances of success.
We will complete our day with an editing session at my print studio in Swanage where you will have the opportunity to have an A3 print of your favourite image to take home with you.
Reasonable levels of fitness and mobility are necessary as some of the viewpoints have moderatley steep footpaths with chalky terrain.
