Dorset - Coast & Country Workshop

The autumnal months are some of the most atmospheric and enjoyable for photography down in Dorset. Misty mornings are more frequent while the ground is still warm and the nights start to feel distinctly chilly. The position of the sun has swung around to the west offering golden light at either end of the day on some of the most spectacular locations on the Jurassic Coast.

Our base for this workshop is the village of Kingston with spectacular views of Corfe Castle. The accommodation is booked from the night before we begin our workshop, so you have four full days of photography.

We will choose our locations based on the weather forecasts and with a small group we have complete flexibility to make the most of the conditions and to ensure your individual objectives are met.

We will have access to my print studio in Swanage where we can do some post processing sessions and you will have the opportunity to print a few of your favourite images to take home with you.

You can also learn about shooting techniques such as focus stacking, panorama stitching and multiple exposures. As a photographer who prints, colour management and the fundamentals of a calibrated digital workflow are integral to my teaching. Post-processing tuition incorporates both the technical and practical functions within Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, as well as realising the creative potential for your images.
